FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lt. Governor Forest Looks Forward to Presiding Over Swift Override of Governor Cooper's Veto of Farm Bill

Tuesday, June 26, 2018

Raleigh, NC -- "I’m disappointed Governor Cooper has decided to support big-money out-of-state lawyers instead of our North Carolina farmers. It is time to end this attack on hard-working, law-abiding farm families and allow them to grow food without the fear of frivolous lawsuits. It is my hope the General Assembly will quickly override the Governor’s veto and show our farming community that we still stand with them."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lt. Governor Forest's Statement Regarding the NC Farm Act of 2018

Friday, June 15, 2018

RALEIGH -- "Governor Cooper needs to sign the NC Farm Bill now. It is abundantly clear that the North Carolina farming community is under attack from out-of-state organizations who are using the tactic of repeated lawsuits against farmers to drive them out of business. Agriculture is our state's number one industry and we must not stand by and watch this happen. Either we stand with the farmers or stand with the lawyers trying to put them out of business. I choose to stand with the farmers."

Lt. Governor Dan Forest's Response to Governor Cooper's Executive Order

Thursday, October 19, 2017

Governor Cooper's Executive Order once again opens the bathroom stall for those who would seek to do women and children harm while falsely claiming they are transgender. While I take at face value the Governor's intent to help transgender people use the bathroom of their identity, his order creates a legal loophole that will be exploited by non-transgender pedophiles, stalkers and perverts. All bathrooms at state rest areas, parks and museums will now be fertile ground for sexual deviants who will falsely claim to be transgender to gain protected access to our women and children.

Lt. Governor Dan Forest Submits Comment to the State Board of Elections

Friday, July 28, 2017

Lt. Governor Dan Forest submits the following public comment to the State Board of Elections regarding their proposed rule change:

"I am in opposition to two rule changes being proposed by the State Board of Elections.

First, the proposed rule change to 08 NCAC 02 .0111 concerning election protests will have the effect of silencing all election protests. The proposed rule substantially increases the length of the form to file an election protest by inserting new administrative hoops that a prospective protester would have to jump through.
