Today, Lieutenant Governor Rachel Hunt encouraged eligible educators in North Carolina to apply for the 2025 National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) STEM Scholarship Program. Every year, the NLGA awards a scholarship to 12 schools across the country for STEM-related classroom projects.
“Our students deserve every opportunity to learn new skills, particularly in STEM-related fields to prepare for the jobs of the future,” said Lieutenant Governor Hunt. “I strongly encourage educators acrossNorth Carolina to apply for this scholarship so they can bring more STEM demonstrations and projects into the classroom.”
Eight schools will be awarded $1,000 each and four schools will be awarded $500 each. The funding must be utilized for Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics educational opportunities, such as projects, curriculum, or equipment.
