“Lt. Gov. Hunt said she has seen for herself the issues people in North Carolina are experiencing.”

“‘I’ve seen firsthand how families and farmers across North Carolina are hurting, and not just during election season,’ she said. ‘Back home in Wilson and all over the state, for many the strain of high costs has already become routine.’”

“‘Families have been making impossible choices between groceries, medical bills and putting gas in their tank, and our farmers are facing another year of financial uncertainty during harvest season,’ she added.”

“‘But state action alone cannot address a problem of this magnitude,’ she wrote. ‘We need federal action as well. President Trump’s tariffs and the war in Iran have driven up costs in nearly every sector in North Carolina.’”

“‘I respectfully ask you to use your platforms and offices to express to President Trump the reality on the ground for hardworking North Carolinians and work toward immediate policy solutions to lower costs in North Carolina,’ she continued.”
